Leadership Development: National Fellowship for Black and Latino Male Educators
The Challenge
Dynamic, life-changing, empowering
NFBLME’s purpose is to create a dynamic, life-changing, empowering fellowship for Black and Latino males that springboards them into principal, senior level, and C-suite roles, increasing the number, longevity, and impact of Black and Latino males in the education sector. Our task was to provide proven, industry-specific, and culturally aligned career development group training and 1:1 coaching to current and aspiring education leaders.
The Outcomes
“Applying for jobs in the education C-Suite was new and intimidating, especially as a black male. My coach was great because she did more than coach me on the technical things – she helped me get out of my head. These strategies ultimately positioned me to land my first Chief role.”
5 out of 5 Stars
Our team worked closely with NFBLME leadership to create customized training and coaching supports which aligned with the existing scope of their year-long professional development, and which would appeal to their membership. This has included offering virtual career development training for their entire organization, and cohort-based workshops and 1:1 career coaching as well (with a focus on serving fellows and alumni in the midst of leveling up professionally – into school and district leadership positions.) 100% of participants have rated their training and/or coaching 5 out of 5 stars.
The Reviews
“As CEO of a rigorous Educational Leadership Fellowship, I gave the WorkTogether Talent Consulting Career Services team one task – to ensure that the guys had a 5 out of 5 experience. Our coaching partner consistently delivered! She’s worked with nearly 20 of our guys, and every one of them has said the support has been 5 out of 5 valuable. She’s supported our guys with creating their personal value propositions, interview prep, cover letters, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles. We tell our guys that they are the CEO of themselves…this support helps them build their brand!”
